The hs2p backend is basically finished, except for adding support for
continuous scanning and support for uploading custom halftone patterns
and gamma vectors. I do not plan to add support for reading/changing IPU
parameters since I don't have a scanner with such an option. Nor do I plan

0x00b0 0x96 xx 0x96 xx seems changing lamp state:
0x01 - turn off, and 0x01 - turn on.
This command is working even if scanner is turned off, when i send
command 0x96 0x21 0x96 0x21 lamp start lighting, but power led on
scanner still off!!!

I have got a brand new Canon MP610 multifunction, and I try to have the
scanner part working with sane (the printer works fine with Canon's MP600
driver).
I've installed the pixma library, and recompiled source code with the MP610
