[sane-devel] what is meaning of digital camera backend?

Hello all, I may be a bit thick, but having read the man pages for a couple of the sane-* device interfaces for digital cameras, I am still not understanding what SANE does when xscanimage is used to access the digitized data on a camera? Can someone enlighten me on this point please? Regards,

Hello, I have submitted output for this scanner before, but do not see it on the SANE webpages, so here goes again. I will fiddle with the genesys backend to see what kind out output I can get, and maybe I can help in the debugging and development of the genesys code. Regards, Gernot Bus 001
