(Acer Peripherals renamed itself to Benq several years ago, as is also
mentioned in the same list). The scanner has been supported for more
than seven years.

I am willing to use my Canon D1250U2 on linux (ubuntu).. and as far as I
can see, it is not yet supported by xsane.
Meanwhile, I read a post here about some progress on that scanner, dated
