I got a Reflecta USB film scanner to digitize my collection of old
slides and negatives. I bought it because a test says that it has an
effective resolution of 3250 dpi, has a relative high density and is not
so slow.
Under Windows this film scanner can be operated with CyberView (from

Some random thoughts:
1. SCSI over USB is a fairly common way for makers to upgrade their products.

Sane-backends is now in code freeze in preparation for release of
1.0.22. Please only commit fixes for bugs which would break
compilation or hardware. Documentation and translation updates are ok
(I've still got a couple of the latter to do).
Release is still scheduled for Feb 13, 2011.
Thanks

Wow- you are the 4th person in two business days to report this bug,
which has been around for nearly a year :) My karma perhaps?
Anyway- I think this is fixed in a current sane-backends development
version, but I've had no confirmation yet.
Any chance you could build from source? I can give
Hi There,
I don't know whether this is the right place. I hope so.
Installed a Canon Pixma MX320 about two years ago. This
model was supported by Canon for 11.1 and I downloaded
the scanner driver. Then 11.2 was released to which I
upgraded. The printer function still works, but the
On second thought, your problem seems a little different, but the
solution is the same: the development version of sane-backends adds a
--ald option, which should provide the same functionality as the
windows driver, when combined with longer paper sizes. This option
existed in prior versions, but

I'm working on the USB logs

There is a problem with the resolution setup for Epson perfection 4990 (and
4870 I think). Because of buggy firmware it do not give the resolutions over
3200, but it too have 4800, 6400,9600,12800. It is important to have especial
4800 (and 9600) because the are not interpolated.
