I have done 4 scans at different resolutions as follows: 75, 150, 300, 600.
My scanner won't accept 1200 or 2400. It says Failed to start scanner.
Document feeder jammed.
All scans are too dark and seem to be out of focus.
Also, cannot close Xsane. Have to 'Force Quit'

This is all working but any photos scanned are very poor quality. I don't
understand the colour settings because I have never needed to adjust them
for other scanners. The scanner works perfectly with Windows and the Canon

I am using Xsane 0.995 with Ubuntu 8.04 (Hardy). My scanner is a HP
Deskjet F4185 USB which is supported by HPLIP. Problems are:
1. When scanning a photo, result is always an A4 white sheet with the
photo in the top RH corner
2. When using the viewer, it freezes the system on exit
I am using V0.995 with Ubuntu 8.04. Scanning works fine. Problem with
Viewer. Any attempt to use any menu item freezes system.
