Hi, I am trying to get my Canon MF4890 Scanner to work with Debian Stretch. It scans one page correctly, and then returns an error (Error during device I/O).
I am using as frontend gscan2pdf 1.5.2-1, sane 1.0.14-11, libsane 1.025-2+b1. The kernel is Linux 4.7.0-1-amd64. In /etc/sane.d/pixma.conf I added the line: bjnp://192.168.178.24 - the local address of the scanner/printer. In gscan2pdf I set 'all pages', 'double-page' and 'gray'. Scanimage -L returns: device `pixma:MF4800_Canon-Drucker' is a CANON Canon i-SENSYS MF4800 Series multi-function peripheral'. To double check, I installed in VirtualBox Kubuntu 16.04 with gscan2pdf 1.3.9-1, libsane 1.026 (from ppa:rolfbensch/sane-git). The kernel is Linux 4.4.0-43 generic.I also added the line in pixma.conf. But I get a similar error (Operation was cancelled) - only the first page is scanned, all other pages ignored. ==> Can you give me any hints, how I can make the scanner to scan more than one page?
