resolution of 300dpi, that is 8,3x11,6
Try with changing the values in the scanner struct.

still have the unmodified backend in /usr?
If yes, it would be better to remove the package.
Try to run scanimage in DEBUG mode, the mustek_usb2 backend is
relatively verbose, so you can trace the operations and see where the
failure occurs.

I did some work to get the hp4600/4670 working, based on the
mustek_usb2 backend. So far, the communication with the scanner is not
far from being completed, some registers are still not exactly
identified, but they seem to be some kind of constant (resolution

chosen. The 4990 would be nice but I can't find it at my dealer. The
4490 can be found but it's not supported!
4490 works with epkowa backend and rather good results.

I can see that the Epson Perfection V700 Photo and Epson Perfection
V750 Photo has good support
image is good, so this
problem does not impact the final scan but only the preview
Note that I do not have this issue when using Iscan.
Is this a problem with epkowa backend or with xsane?
Could someone tell me where I could look to correct this behaviour?
