from unstable to stable, maintained by Aur=E9lien Jarno who maintains
SANE along with me.
So these packages are guaranteed to install and work properly on a

Apply to a clean source tree with patch -p1, run configure, build. It
defaults to GTK2+GIMP2.0. (you don't need to run autoconf)
I updated the patch, as GIMP 2.0pre2 got fixed with regard
the pc
file edited, and not gimptool.
If you have package-config installed, the autoconf check uses
package-config, so editing the .pc file is enough. Otherwise you have
to edit gimptool, sorry if I didn't make it clear :)
