Hello everybody, I need some help getting this to work,
I have a BenQ 5000 device, I am using archlinux kernel26 2.6.30.1-1 and sane 1.0.20-3 I have added the firmware to /usr/share/sane/snapscan/ and added this line "firmware /usr/share/sane/snapscan/20F8V116.bin" to /etc/sane.d/snapscan.conf and $ scanimage -L device `snapscan:libusb:002:004' is a Acer FlatbedScanner42 flatbed scanner $ lsusb Bus 002 Device 004: ID 04a5:20f8 Acer Peripherals Inc. (now BenQ Corp.) Benq 5000 Bus 002 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0001 Linux Foundation 1.1 root hub Bus 003 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0001 Linux Foundation 1.1 root hub Bus 004 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0001 Linux Foundation 1.1 root hub Bus 005 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0001 Linux Foundation 1.1 root hub Bus 001 Device 003: ID 05ca:1870 Ricoh Co., Ltd Webcam 1000 Bus 001 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0002 Linux Foundation 2.0 root hub $ scanimage (the scanner makes some sound and flashes some light here, but it doesn't scan anything) scanimage: sane_start: Error during device I/O User defined signal 1 Can anybody provide some help please?
