from the logfile is see that everything is working well up to that point
when the scan-data is read from the scanner. It immediately fails when
trying to read 32768 bytes of data.
You are using the option dumb-read of the hp-backend. What happens
without that option ? If scanning fails

Viewed from the sanei_scsi viewpoint, this looks better; now we get at
least the SCSI
well i got here a
HP ScanJet IIcx /T on my SCSI card.
running kernel 2.4.17-xfs. ( vanilla + xfs ).
this one worked once... ago. 2 years or so.
i don't remember wich i used ...
but i was the same SCSI card ( Adaptec 2940 )
now. i get an IO error each time i try to scan :*/

well i did apply the patch for HP scanners as posted on the
one page.
so i got freshly installed: Backends 1.0.9 + HP 1.01 patch | Frontend:
1.0.9
ai:/my/scanner/bin# ./scanimage --version
