Is it normal for the data from a scanner to require some
post-processing? The data from my HP Scanjet 4600 needs to by shifted
about a little, I suppose because the image scaning elements are about
a half inch wide and offset by millimeters. If this is needed
regularly, what portion of SANE takes
the sane backend should clean up the data as much as possible, since
it (theoretically) know more about the details of the specific machine
in use. You are writing a backend for this machine?
