HPOJ is not given up. There will be done bigger changes on its architecture to support more functionality than currently. Therefore there is a longer time without releases. HPIJS is only a filter to convert PostScript (with the help of GhostScript) to PCL or LIDIL. It has nothing to do with

Hi, scanning and printing are different stuff. So if there is a new printer driver I see no need to change the scanner drivers. And I am quite sure that the hpoj-backend is still better in supporting the Office Jet/MFPs for scanning than the hp-backend was. Sincerely Peter Fetka Mario
