Have any of you experience with the PSC by HP, the model F4400?

Got it to work as a printer using Suse v10.0 but as a scanner, no luck at all 
- so far.

Has any work at all been done with this, what appears to be a rather good 
machine in spite of the God awful software HP provided for M$ users?

some kind of company policy that somehow forbids to ask
(probably not an explicitely written ban).

The good news is that this makes it clear for end-users
which manufacturers they can choose when they like to buy
a scanner or all-in-one device with Linux support.
