Has someone standalone scaning program or modified genesys backend for
test. Because I successless try to modifying the backend. I can make tests.

Hi Guillaume.
The same on my side. It seems to me, that there is still a problem during the
line readout. I can see some shaing in scanning direction but each line seems
to be smeared out.

The epson perfection 4990 is working best with the epson2 driver.
Maybe this should bee change on the Supported Devices pages.
