Hello, I've compiled the sane-cvs-version with pixma-backend only. Now, sane works fine as long as I'm not connected to the internet, but crashes as soon as I'm online at the same time as calling scanimage (or Xsane as frontend to sane). Results: scanimage -V: scanimage (sane-backends)

Hello devs, I just tried to configure my CanoScan LiDE 60 scanner with linux. I installed sane-1.0.19 with the genesys backend and libusb support enabled. The scanner is detected with sane-find-scanner and scanimage -L also lists it (also as a user). In other words it should work. However

Hello list. As some of you might have experienced, and as it is frequently subjected, scsi scanners have to be manually added to the scsi subsystem by invoking some scsi-add command as root before talking to the scanner is possible. I am currently experimenting with shell-aliases and overriding

Yes, feeder jammed is a bad error message. I see we have SANE_STATUS_HW_LOCKED now -- that is probably a better error code. Fixed in cvs. Regards, Pierre Tobias Preclik schrieb: Thanks for sorting this out. Didn't know the device has a lock switch and was confused by the document feeder

Could you activate some more trace logs and re-post the content of scanimage -L when on line (BTW, what do you mean exactly by that ? do you mean you connect through a modem on a tel line ?) : $ export SANE_DEBUG_PIXMA=21 $ export SANE_DEBUG_SANEI_USB=255 $ export SANE_DEBUG=255 Nicolas Le

to be perfectly honest, it sounds like a solution looking for a problem. make the add device script setuid, or run it from root's cron every minute or so. allan On Sun, Jan 25, 2009 at 4:42 PM, Felix Salfelder felix at salfelder.org wrote: Hello list. As some of you might have experienced,
