by default?
Yes. The feature is a bit experimental still, and isn't very useful

Hello,
I've compiled the sane-cvs-version with pixma-backend only. Now, sane
works fine as long as I'm not connected to the internet, but crashes as

Hello devs,
I just tried to configure my CanoScan LiDE 60 scanner with linux. I
installed sane-1.0.19 with the genesys backend and libusb support
enabled. The scanner is detected with sane-find-scanner and scanimage -L
also lists it (also as a user). In other words it should work. However

Yes, feeder jammed is a bad error message. I see we have
SANE_STATUS_HW_LOCKED now -- that is probably a better error code. Fixed

Could you activate some more trace logs and re-post the content of
scanimage -L when on line (BTW, what do you mean exactly by that ? do
you mean you connect through a modem on a tel line ?) :
$ export SANE_DEBUG_PIXMA=21
$ export SANE_DEBUG_SANEI_USB=255
$ export SANE_DEBUG=255

problem. make the add device script setuid, or run it from root's cron
every minute or so.
