*Position:* Java Developer *Location:* Warren, NJ *Duration:* 6 months *Role:* - Enhancing and maintaining existing Java/Sybase code. - Designing and developing new financial applications. - Interacting with business users, technology people, and senior management. - Self-motivated individual with good communication skills. - Works effectively as an individual contributor as well as a solid team-player. - Recent experience in the financial industry will be helpful. *Requirements:* - 5+ years experience in design and development of enterprise applications using Java (expert level), Core Java, JMS, Multithreading, XML, Unix/Linux, relational database (Sybase), Eclipse. - Extensive experience in Spring framework, Spring Hibernate and Spring Security. - Well versed in Object Oriented Analysis and Design (OOAD, UML). - Experience in versioning software, such as SVN. - Participates in and enforces solid testing procedures. - Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. - Able to work independently in a fast-paced environment. - Solid communication skills. - Knowledge of Credit Derivatives and financial markets. *Desired:* - Service oriented architecture (SOA), distributed cache is desired.
