Java JEE/J2EE Developer

I am looking for someone local to Austin or who someone who can come for a
personal interview



Responsibilities: TWC is currently running a mission-critical client-server
application, TWIST, on core components that are significantly past
end-of-life. This application currently runs on EA Server 5.3 running Power
Builder 11.5 code with a Sybase 15.0.3 backend.







TWC plans to migrate this application, along with existing functionality to
TWC’s more modern JBoss WAS running Java 6.0 with a DB2/LUW backend.
Significant business processes & functionality improvements are expected as
a natural by-product of this migration, with additional business
improvements incorporated as time permits.







Workers will augment and work under the direction of TWC’s Workforce
Systems technical team to develop code per existing specifications,
identify additional un-documented business rules from code and resolve
related technical and business issues, including data conversion. Other
duties include:



•Work with TWC Business and Systems Analysts, SME's (Subject Matter
Experts), Enterprise Architect(s) and Quality Assurance to support and
migrate a complex, business rules-intensive legacy system to a web-based
application.

•Mentor other junior developers as requested.

8  Technical leadership mentoring development teams with knowledge of best
practices in the areas of application design, performance, scalability and
maintainability.



8  Hands-on experience designing/developing enterprise-class applications
with Java JEE/J2EE with strong Java JSE/J2SE (Core) knowledge and
experience including programming with JDBC (Java DataBase Connectivity) and
SQL (Structured Query Language).



8 Hands-on experience developing with Java Web/MVC frameworks with strong
OOAD (Object-Oriented Analysis and Design), UML modeling, design patterns
and frameworks.



5 Hands-on experience capturing, developing & implementing business rules
for a business rules engine (Drools).



5 Relational data modeling experience with hands-on experience using Java
persistence/ORM frameworks (iBatis/MyBatis, JPA/Hibernate).



5 Experience with Java IDE development tools (Eclipse, JBoss Developer
Studio).JBoss Application Server/EAP, Java Web Services client and server
development (JAX-WS, JAX-RS).
