Java JEE/J2EE Developer Location US-TX-Austin
Deadline Date 11/23/2015 Duration: 6 months I am looking for someone local to Austin or who someone who can come for a personal interview Responsibilities: TWC is currently running a mission-critical client-server application, TWIST, on core components that are significantly past end-of-life. This application currently runs on EA Server 5.3 running Power Builder 11.5 code with a Sybase 15.0.3 backend. TWC plans to migrate this application, along with existing functionality to TWC’s more modern JBoss WAS running Java 6.0 with a DB2/LUW backend. Significant business processes & functionality improvements are expected as a natural by-product of this migration, with additional business improvements incorporated as time permits. Workers will augment and work under the direction of TWC’s Workforce Systems technical team to develop code per existing specifications, identify additional un-documented business rules from code and resolve related technical and business issues, including data conversion. Other duties include: •Work with TWC Business and Systems Analysts, SME's (Subject Matter Experts), Enterprise Architect(s) and Quality Assurance to support and migrate a complex, business rules-intensive legacy system to a web-based application. •Mentor other junior developers as requested.
