*Role: Web Designer with HTML5, CSS3, AngularJS and Bootstrap*
*Location: West Palm Beach, *
*Duration: 6 Months*
1. *Introduction/Background*
The District is embarking on developing its’ next generation applications.
These applications will be utilizing the latest in technology and provide a
modern user experience. These applications will be integrating GIS maps,
web APIs, web services and Jasper Reports. The development will be using
HTML5, CSS3, AngularJS and Bootstrap. These new application must also be
mobile aware and present themselves as such depending on the device
accessing the application.
1. *Objectives*
The objective is to procure the services of an Intermediate Web Designer
with extensive skills in developing modern, highly interactive web
applications. This individual will have experience designing and
developing HTML5 applications that are responsive to the device access the
application, use of CSS, and is very experienced in AngularJS.
1. *Scope of Work*
The Consultant will work together with the web development team to
brainstorm web design ideas, create new innovative features, develop web
pages, design and develop application specific graphics.
*Report Analyst Requirements:*
- *5 plus years working knowledge of web design and development*
- Expert use of *AngularJS* *framework*, constructing reusable services,
models, controllers and templates
- *Graphic design skills (expert at Photoshop, etc.)*
- Demonstrated track record of building sophisticated, highly
interactive web applications
- Experience designing and developing web applications that are mobile
aware using responsive and/or adaptive design
- Experience using *Bootstrap* framework
- *Strong understanding of HTML5*
- *Strong knowledge style sheet best practices using CSS3*
- Strong understanding on how to use web APIs and web services
- Excellent graphic design skills
- Innovative and creative mindset
- Experience with source control system Subversion required
- Bachelor’s degree is required
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
A portfolio showcasing previous work is also required.
