Hi,
rc.6 which is executed during shutdown/reboot sets
PATH=/sbin:/etc:/bin:/usr/bin. If I want to stop postfix automatically in
rc.6 or rc.local_shutdown I get an error postfix can't be found because
postfix is in /usr/sbin. Wouldn't it be better to write the full path in
rc.postfix:

The unrar SlackBuild should be discontinued.
The current release of rar/unrar, the one you get from rarsoft's homepage,
is 4.2.4.
The current unrar SlackBuild builds 4.0.7, which is ridiculously ancient. I
contacted the maintainer months ago and never got a response.
We have a corresponding
@Matteo: Is libunrar built along with unrar? Or if not, does there
exist an option to do so? If yes, that sounds sensible.
I guess you are also suggesting to take over unrar (as you are the
maintainer of libunrar)? If yes, I think that would be a good idea.
Bojan.
I misread the name of the libunrar maintainer. Sorry Mario and
Matteo for the confusion. Anyway, I support Matteo's idea.

Hi,
The unrar SlackBuild should be discontinued.
Sorry, I don't agree. One important difference between rar and unrar is
in their license terms.
For example, unrar license states something like this:
3. The UnRAR utility may be freely distributed. It is allowed
to distribute UnRAR

There is a big difference in re-distributability of the resulting
packages. So separate unrar is a sensible option.
Agreed.

I'm using a bunch of archivers/unarchivers on my machines and
basically depend on any of them a lot.
+1
I recommend
I don't use the rar package so I won't comment on that but I do like
Mateo's idea of combining unrar/libunrar packages.

I'd be very happy with that scenario. I prefer to have separate
slackbuilds for free parts of non-free programs, as anyone conscious
about security should.
