Includes maintenance of database dictionaries, monitoring of standards and procedures, access methods and time, validation checks, organization and statistical methods. - Responsible for data loading, security, performance monitoring and tuning, capacity planning, and backup and recovery. Executes database software installation, database creations/configurations and loads. - Provide *UNIX (AIX) system administration* support. - Candidate must have applicable experience to support large AIX servers. - Candidate will develop maintenance procedures, proposals, plans, and guidelines for system configuration, deployment, and support. - Provide technical solutions and guidance for internal customers and team members in all aspects of Unix AIX operating system. Perform and assist internal customers and team members in resolving Unix issues. - Be able to work with application developers, helping trouble-shoot their applications and guide them with best practices. - Must be able to express his/her thoughts clearly and capable of working in a team environment as well as an individual contributor. - Maintain a thorough working knowledge of the various and Unix operating systems, networking technologies, policies, procedures and best practices; suggest ways to improve/expand upon the efficiency of Unix operations. - Preference will be given to candidate with *Sun Solaris* experience. - Experience with *Virtualization IBM's Power on technology *(HMC/LPAR/Micro Partitioning/VIO etc) is a distinct.
