Using Pidgin 2.5.5 I can successfully connect to a
Google Talk account with a googlemail.com domain. However, when I use
Pidgin to connect to a Google Talk account with a hotmail.co.uk domain,
the connection is rejected as Not Authorized.

When I log in and it comes up and tells me that I have an email, I click on the
1 New Email link but it won't connect to Hotmail. It tells me that either the
password or email address is incorrect. Shouldn't it just connect straight
through to my email

I was having an issue with getting MSN Messenger to connect using version
2.5.2, so I upgraded to 2.5.5 and now the application crashes every time I
launch it.
Any suggestions?!?

This is definitely not a feature, but a bug. It has already been filed
on the bug tracker by someone else:
