I've searched many sites and forums and plugins but have not found a true
answer.
Sometimes I do not want to be notified when I receive a Pidgin IM, in
particular not have a new conversation window pop up. I set
Preferences/Hide New IM Conversations
, all plug-ins
disabled, and Blink on New Message checked in systray. Looks like the
Hide new IM conversations setting in Preferences in 2.5.2 doesn't
work. Well, the Never setting works fine, but Always and When Away
don't seem to work.
