Hello. I have been having problems with Pidgin 2.10.11 where it does not
allow me to connect to either Google or MSN messengers. I have added a
log file from my attempts.

I have downloaded the most recent version of Pidgin to my PC - 2.10.11 and I
My pidgin stopped connecting to MSN recently, I upgraded to 2.10.11, but still
no connection.
I can log in to my live.com account with firefox.
Here is the debug window contents for a failed attempt.
What am I doing wrong?

While I (and others) reported in august that the MSN service is closed (at
least in Europe), these days I noticed I can connect again to my MSN account
(using Pidgin, the same settings as before).
So either they were reopened or never really closed.

As this started this week, it's likely due to the fact that Microsoft moved
live messenger to Skype and have finally shut down their old services.
There's no way around this currently and pidgin will not support Skype as
the protocol is not public.

A lot turns out to be two, the two that I sampled, both MSN related
intermediate ones:

Hello,
Since today morning I can't connect to MSN anymore; it says that the
certificates can't be validated;
This is with pidgin 2.10.x
Any thing I can do? Thanks

I tried using a Windows Pidgin (probably a little dated). This also
produces a certificate warning, but I imagine most Windows

As I'm not actively using Pidgin for MSN, I don't want to download the
latest Pidgin in peak time, but if anyone else could check the expiry
date on the certificate, it would be useful. On Windows it is in
