The Google Talk setting is just a shorthand for XMPP with setting typical of the Google service. If the Snap Engage service doesn't use XMPP, does it use any protocol with a specification that is in the public domain?
This: <http://help.snapengage.com/how-to-use-google-talk-with-pidgin-on-windowslinux/> seems to suggest that SnapEngage will work over Google's XMPP interface, using Pidgin.
