pidgin 2.12.0 should support AIM well. I now confirmed that I was able to send

It's well known by this stage that AIM now requires Pidgin 2.12. I
installed 2.12 today but it still can't connect to AIM (not a general
connection problem because it's seeing ICQ just fine). Do I need to change
connection settings or something? If so, what steps exactly are required?
