Suggestion for discussion: cleaning up the plugins page

There are multiple ways that the plugins page can be improved: 1. Removing the links that are no longer resolving. 2. Indicating outdated plugins that no longer work. 3. Indicating whether binary releases are available, or better yet, providing binaries for all plugins that do not have them

It's 2016, why are we still using mailing lists?

Are there any compelling reasons not to use an internet forum? Their many advantages over mailing lists include: - Easier searching for existing solutions. - Fine-grained control over email notifications. - The ability to display prominent explanation of what support can be expected.

Problem with smileys on Hangouts

Hello, I have a problem displaying smileys sent from Hangouts contacts, anything except the basic :) -- which is shown as displays as "tofu". I tried overriding the font used with Google's Noto but it didn't help. I am currently using the "Default-with-Skype" Smiley theme by Hylke Bons.

Is there support for the signal protocol?

Conversation badger plugin does not work with 2.13

Assertions in 2.13.0

I ran 2.1.13 on Windows with a debug log. Started, waited about a minute and closed it. There are several assertions in the log, some due to plugins: (00:32:12) plugins: C:\Program Files (x86)\Pidgin\plugins\libsametime.dll has a prefs_info, but is a prpl. This is no longer supported.

Dummy protocol?

I have old conversation logs from people I used to chat with on currently defunct protocols (Yahoo, etc.) Some of those people are no longer my contacts, but I still want to have those chat logs visible in Pidgin. Is there away to add them as "dummy" contacts so I can still view the logs but
