*Job Details:* Position: *Sr. Weblogic Admin * Duration: * Contract Position* *( More a Long term )* Work Location: * Milwaukee , WI* ** *Please make sure this is Databse Developer / Engineer & not a DBA* *Job Description:* *I am looking for a hardcore weblogic guy with more than 10- 15 years of extensive experience with Administration of Weblogic Servers* Must have a minimum of 10 years experience with WebLogic and 7-10 years experience in Information Technology. Must have experience with Red Hat Linux, Korn Shell scripting in an Enterprise environment. Must have experience with Azul, Oracle Coherence and Gigaspaces would be a plus. Must have experience working in a highly available and high traffic e-commerce environment. Required experience installing, configuring and administering apache web servers with multiple modules *Primary Responsibilities*: - Proactively looks at adapting current architecture to meet future needs. - Evaluates software packages, ensuring that they fit within architecture and infrastructure. - Works with vendors on solutions evaluations that cross project teams and infrastructure areas. - Identifies business system components that can be shared across business applications and works with development teams to make these shareable components. - Identifies the impact of proposed changes at a system level and on interfacing systems. - Translates application development requirements into architectural requirements. - Helps define and approve standards related to core infrastructure areas. - Assists team in defining infrastructure solutions and define large-scale infrastructure decisions. - Conducts thorough system test of new or upgraded infrastructure components. - Works with application development teams to validate new or change architecture components. - Assists the lead with the development of the project plan and assists in assignment of resources to project tasks and activities. - Recommends plan changes necessary to keep the project on schedule. - Plans and manages software upgrades and installation. - Conducts walkthroughs with the developers for standards compliance, performance considerations and correct use of infrastructure components. - Communicates clearly the impact on other systems of proposed new infrastructure components or modifications. - Works with development team to gather requirements, answer questions and resolve issues. - Provides feedback to team members and project lead regarding individual performance of team members. - Works with outside vendors to ensure smooth development and installation of purchased software and to ensure resolution of outstanding issues. Communicates infrastructure needs and directions with management.
