Hi folks
Unfortunately, there are more and more collectors on this list than
lovers of 160m.

I, for example, am interested in another (live) process - the indicators
of daily work with DX.

Hi Bob,
Do you recall when you -- or anyone else -- first noticed the
WKDM/WWRU spurious emissions on 1940 kHz?
The FCC rule regarding emissions more then 75 kHz from an
AM broadcasters assigned frequency is contained in Code of Federal Regulations
Title 47 Chapter I Subchapter C Part 73 Subpart
You all missed my point.
QSL's confirmed solely LoTW aren't checked by any person. For example,
MM0ZBH QSO with WB6CTL is now QSL'd in LoTW for DXCC purposes as a 160
meter QSO at 2130Z.

I got some checked at our local hamfest. It takes about 3-4 weeks for them to
show up LoTW.

There are, unfortunately, some inconsiderate hams who won't use LOTW.
Thankfully, fewer as time goes by. When we were kids, the "final
courtesy of a QSO" was a QSL, and postage was 2-3 cents.
What size a rhombic would be "large" on 160 m?
Perhaps long enough for far end to be close to the other station.

On Mon,
Only DX station heard was VK6LC, and he was mostly buried in the
noise. Not strong enough to call. Several strong stateside stations
were heard but no-one else.
Maybe tomorrow?

Got him on 80m CW last night, but he was never better than a 449.
No peep of them on 160m.

All of this is an example of why ARRL card checkers must have achieved
DXCC on topband before they can check topband cards.

I agree with KQ2M, TN8K was workable last night (Sunday) on both 80 and 160.
Here in central NC they were actually better on 160.
Long periods of very Q5 copy (maybe 10dB above the noise on 160) on both bands
followed by almost equally long periods of very light to no copy.

Dear friends,
I need your advise: I found a very high tower with 100m high. I need to fix a
very effective antenna on 160m band. What kind of antenna will be better for
contesting?

Good cndx no surprise - the K index dropped to 0 for a few hours and
then stayed at k=1.
TN8K was audible here for several hours in and out, with long and deep
fades but peaking briefly ~ 569, and definitely favoring stations in the
Mid-western, Western and Southern US. I'm using an Inv L
I used to live near Granada Hills - not near an ocean.
I guess he could have a remote station somewhere - but again, 1:30 PM in
SoCal is a no go. I can't imagine where someone would have a big rhombic
near an ocean in SoCal with much of an advantage towards Europe.
Reminds me of a story - back
Highly unlikely at 1:30 in the afternoon in California.

Ironic that after complaining how poor DX Propagation has been for the past
few weeks, they were quite reasonable from around 0300Z last night . . .
Having seen fair reports from RBN stations, I carried on calling CQ for half
an hour, and worked a few NA stations, including Georgia and Alabama.
Fabulous explanation - Thank you Frank!

I recently worked WB6CJT twice on CW:
160m on 24Nov22 @ 2130Z
80m on 7Dec/22 @ 2215Z
I emailed to ask if he was transmitting from CA per his QRZ.com details and
he confirmed that was correct and he was using a large rhombic by the
ocean. Both contacts are confirmed in LoTw as California.
