Did you level match them, too? That's important.
Forgot to report back.
I compared the SBT + Qutest with a SBT and Quad USB DAC, levels matched
and streamers linked.
I could not hear any significant differences apart from the softest
Qutest filter.
So I stayed with the Quad DAC. Saved about 1000 euros. Pwew.

Today SBT recognised the Qutest. Maybe it's the weather.
Sound was on full speed, so I decided to check the options.
Workaround for no USB hub did the trick.
Now I will set up thr other SBT with my existing USB DAC and do A-B

Sometimes USB cables are spooky. The Micromega I had didn't work with
the Quad DAC cable and vice versa. Weird.
But this is the original Qutest cable afaik. Tested the Quad's cable to

Have listened to music for a while and with Qutest it sounds more
"convincing". I discover new nuances in music I know quite well.
My Quad USB DAC is no slouch either.
I have two SBTs, so will rig up two sets with DACs and do A-B
The spreadsheet says the Beresford (sic!) Qutest works fine with USB and
doesn't need a USB hub.

Have a Chord Qutest on loan from a dealer to see what the fuzz is about.
Since the Touch was set to USB out I connected the Qutest to the USB
output.
No sound. Tried different USB cables,. reset the DAC etc. Still no
sound.
Swtich the Touch to Digital Only and connected an optical cable
What's the fuzz about Chords DACs? Sometimes it sound they're the beat
since sliced bread.
Is Mojo yet another magic DAC in the 450 euro bracket?

I just installed Ickstream (had an old account there) and Wimp (old name
of Tidal) works fine. Can't login to Tidal, though.
Even the Tidal PC client can't play songs, but Tidal on my Android TV
plays fine. Weird.

Got two from teradak, well built, but as all changes in the digital
sphere, it makes a subtle difference, better bass maybe and less crap
sent out the backdoor to other units...moving my Hercules PSU for the
LP12 to a box outside the player itself made a much bigger improvement

Recent measurements elesewhere suggest that it is better to do it on the
Touch, although the general consensus is the opposite to lower the load
on the Touch processor.
Frankly, if you have a fast NAS/server PC, a fast Ethernet connection
and a good router you won't hear any difference...to use
Why use the EDO when you must connect the HDD through the USB input on
the Touch?

No hub, but the USB cable I use to a MyDAC did not work, needed the
cable provided by Quad. When the Touch starts the 192 kHz lamps lite up.
It works with 24/96, will get a proper 24/192 file tonight.

I have a setup with a ReadyNAS Ultra with a fixed IP address, a SB
Touch connected with Ehternet to the NAS. I also use the Duet Controller
instead of the Touch remote.
When I connect new PCs to my network, they usually conflict with
each other or the SB addresses. That's why I moved the
