Regarding the test cases, I think that the second case needs an
additional step:
-- initramfs update --
1) install Ubuntu, using ZFS as a rootfs.
2) change 'MODULES=most' to 'MODULES=dep' in /etc/initramfs-tools/initramfs.conf
3) run "sudo update-initramfs
I can confirm that this problem exists in 18.04 and that disabling the
linked Google account in Account Settings worked for me.
The chmod-based solution posted by titan-phpdevshell (#13) also worked,
but I expect that to stop working as soon as I upgrade.

Also the lack of an include directive for /usr/lib/cups/backend/cups-pdf
in /etc/apparmor.d/usr.sbin.cupsd to allow using a different path for
