Reverted to CSM boot installation but made no difference.
Comment #17 helps, but boot still v slow and buggy.
Now reverting to 14.04.
I may consider 16 again if I hear an update that this bug is rectified.

It seams there's some problem with network-manager and also power
management in the driver.
Workaround:
Don't use network-manager. I'm using trinity, with out network-manager.
I also deactivated power management for wifi, and it works correctly.

Looks like chrome remote desktop app (which i was using) took over my

I just realised that removing chrome remote desktop config isn't enough.
Like I mentioned on my PC i had the same issue. I had to remove

I just found an update for Chrome, told it "n" and it stopped. Tried it

After the switch to Wayland all has been well so far. I will update if
this changes, but if the issue is indeed RAM and temps related, then
there is another factor to consider, it is "winter" now, ambient
temperature is between 19-21 degrees vs. 23-25 for the summer (when I
downgrading python3-276 to python3-271 helped! since then GTK is opening
up again.

Yes, I, too, find this to be very frustrating! I need to be able to
