A Consolidation lend permits you to combine your government scholar
borrowings into a single loan with one monthly payment, which can be
considerably lower than the payment requiremented under the benchmark 10-year
repayment choice. Under the government Family Education lend (FFEL) Program,
Isn't wine most commonly used to run propriatary software?
This site, along with the manual pages, the documentations available on the
GNU project's site, and some examples on the Internet, helped me understand
somethings (not everything) related to Bash, Cat, Sed (I am still in doubt
about most of the things I've learned about Sed), regular
Yep, but Wine isn't itself proprietary. It's conceivable that one might be
using Wine to run a free program that depends on the Windows API.
Of course, most people are going to use it to run proprietary Windows-only
software, but I don't think it's helpful to actively prevent people from

Take a look at this excellent post by Chris (and, yes, you had better taken a
HP all-in-one printer).
How many gigabytes is Trisquel's Git repo?
Like any password, you actually want it to be a passphrase, i.e., long. You
need not put numbers, symbols and caps letters in it. Just several words. Say
three. In this way the password is strong and you can easily remember it.

Hello everyone.
I am having a problem with a printer that I got second hand, it's a HP
Photosmart C3180. When I try to use it in Debian or Trisquel LiveCD, it is
not seen by the system. I tried with LInux Mint LiveCD and it works like a
charm. I suspected it was a matter of proprietary
Ok, an update on the situation: looks like I'm an idiot -.-
I was doing the hp-setup without being su, so of course it wouldn't change
the system settings :P
Everything seems to be working now.
The problem that remains is the test page, that seems to be a problem with a
lot of HP printers

I'm using XFCE installed from Trisquel's repos, but it appears to be 4.8.
What's the best way to upgrade to 4.10? Download the source? Is a package
availalbe? I don't want to introduce conflicts and break packages if I can
avoid it.
Thanks!
I'm on an Asus Eee PC X101CH. Generally, everything works quite well. I'm
having some audio trouble, though.
Audio seems to work just fine until I plug in headphones. I can briefly hear
the sound over the headphones and then the mute notification pops up and
there's no sound. I've
Try unmuting it with the headphones plugged in. There may be different volume
settings for the PC speakers and the headphones.
Can you insert the printer into http://h-node.org ?
Unmuting while the headphones are plugged in causes the unmute notification
to pop up, but no sound comes out of the headphones.
Add ppa:xubuntu-dev/xfce-4.10.Try ppa:xubuntu-dev/xfce-4.12 if you want the
beta.
So, if anyone here can't seem to install a printer, don't forget to
make su before :P
I don't seem to remember to have needed to use su in order to install a
printer in Trisquel.
I checked and there are several Photosmarts in h-node.com but not the

What is the output of the arch command? If it's x86_64, then you'll need to
enable multi-arch first. I also recommend you to use the latest stable
release of Wine (1.6.1), by either enabling the Wine PPA, or better,
installing PlayOnLinux.
I'll have to revisit this project at a later time. For the time being I'm
working on a more universal access temporary solution. Whenever I get a
home/launcher button working and this thread is closed I'll post information
about the solution at noxbanners.net

Even if it's not worth using that printer with free software, it's still a
good idea to add it so others know that it doesn't work too well.
