I have been able to connect to Oracle using the thin driver - but my URL is
setup as follows:
database.default.url=jdbc:oracle:thin:@1:1521:DS1A
where is my host name, 1521 is the port and DS1A is the Oracle SID.
Your setup below doesn't have the same parameters - perhaps
