Hallo,
I'm a newbie with turbine. All, what I want is to start Jyve on turbine
framework to an ORACLE database.
Sorry, but I don't know, what I to do:-(.
I've load a current snapshot
from CVS. I've looked in all documents of install, I hope so, and search

It is easyest getting started with Turbine and using Tomcat, as is ready
to run in the TDK ( Turbine Developers Kit ). You can get it from:

The TDK is tested to be up and running in minutes.
Make sure the TurbineResources entry for turbine.log and
When you do the documentation, also check in the generated HTML in the
turbine/docs directory. The reason why is because what happens is that we
do
a cvs checkout of the docs directory on java.apache.org/turbine/. That way,
updating the website is easy. :-)
I played with Stylebook but couldnt
How do I use Stylebook to generate HTML?
Scratch that question, I found it as an Ant Task in the build-turbine.xml
file soon afer sending the mail.

Hi all,
I'd like to integrate Prowler (http://www.infozone-group.org/projects_main.html)
with Turbine/Jetspeed. Prowler is an XML-based transaction-safe content
managment framework. At the moment we use only Cocoon for the web-frontend.
But we'd like to have Turbine/Jetspeed to build a

Hi,
I'm ready to add the new torque goodies to the turbine tree.
I have asked jon to blow away
conf/torque
org/apache/turbine/tools/*
and I will replace them with a new
conf/torque
and
org/apache/turbine/torque
If anyone has any problems with this let me know soon :-)

Turbine has many features that you can take advantage of beyond just the
presentation layer. Whether or not you want to use them is your choice.
What's the ETA on the new org.apache.turbine.torque package? I have some bug fixes I'd
like to make in torque, but am holding off until the latest stuff becomes available in
CVS.

I have tried out Turbine (20001105) and I run into problem with the object
interface (peer) to postgres.
Postgres returns columnNames in lowercase and when Turbine has defined these
same names in uppercase. The bug is when Turbine is trying to match these
strings throw a Hashtable. One fix to

Sounds great. I'm familar with this kind of CVS reorg. Checking things

Yes. Until then I have uploaded the stand-alone version of
Torque in the TDK directory for people to look at and
see how things work. Everything is in

There are no examples of using JSP. A tag library has been written
which implements Turbine's layout/navigation/screen modularization, but
I think I never checked in the actual tld file, all the classes are in

You can use Turbine as the controller servlet in a Model 2 system.
There has just not been as much interest in developing the integration
