possibility is thunderbird with owlforexchange. owlforexchange is a payed app. It sounds like evolution would let me download mail from my inbox at the university and then I could use another email client to read it and fold it in to the unix world that I really like

Interesting. I haven't noticed any crashing within the past month. I only notice the issue I reported, which has been pretty much the same for more than 10 years actually. It definitely did crash some time back, but that seems to have been fixed recently. ~Kyle -- Ubuntu-accessibility

Hi, Evolution has ben accessible until Gnome3. Since this time, for some reason not related to orca but the evolution ot this program in the GTK3 context, it is broken and has never been fixed since this date. Last trial I did some months ago shew crashes, unusable and heavy to debug

Apple had been using an out-dated version of webkit in safari browser for several years. I have no idea what version of webkit Evolution uses and if a version change to their webket caused this problem or if the problem has always been with Evolution. If they're not on the latest version

Evolution isn't completely unusable, but it focuses you on the message headers. Getting to the message body is possible, but it requires playing with the tab key a bit. It can be hit or miss. I filed a bug against Evolution, but this appears to be a problem with webkit and the way it handles

Hopefully someone who uses Evolution can answer this if my solution doesn't work because this is a guess. I actually use Thunderbird not Evolution. There is a setting called something like enable carot navigation which lets you arrow around read-only emails as if it was editable text
