I had the same problem.I noticed that I had the same keyboard layout;. I
don't if there will be a fix but I found a way to solve this problem.The
problem is that Ubuntu doesn't recognise the keyboard perfectly,at least
this is what I think.I found that this happens by reading the

Well, maybe I have to tell you that I wanted to install on a virtual
machine from vmware server on a windows partition. I selected Ubuntu as
an option in vmware, also selected 2 processors because I run it on a
Pentium D805 with 2 cores.
The live CD runs without problems. Only installing the

Had another interesting symptom of kded problems: konqueror wouldn't
start. It seemed there was more than one kded process running at a
time; when I killed one of them all the instances of konqueror I had
tried to start all started at once.
A crash dialog came up at the same time but I'm afraid
The dmesg command creates an extremely large readout. I am not even
sure that the terminal allows for the whole readout as the command did
not show at the top of the page after scrolling. Do you want me to send

Followup:
Clearing out /usr/share/emacs and /usr/share/emacs21 and then reinstalling
dictionaries-common and then emacs solved the problem for me.
Seems some stale version of some package that php-mode depended on was
interfering.

Using a dbus interface could be a nice idea. So that apt runs in the
background and the frontends only send a signal e.g. install
package-1. A symbol appears in the notification bar and we notify the
user that packages are getting installed now. If something went wrong we
show the installer dialog

manually shows the same behavior: With the orinoco_pci driver,
wpasupplicant doesn't set the WEP key. Fedora ships with a patch that

With the kernel 2.6.15-25 the problem is not resolved and the blacklist
islsm_pci setting don't resolve the problem.
If I remove it, I have a kernel panic!
How can I resolve this problem now ??
