Well I thought I understood how to fix this one, but I'm not stumped.

I too see this error on my other workstation FC6 with Beryl I do not
have the same results, here is an strace from the event. I tested this
against the standard package and the downloaded current release of 2.44
from the blender.org website.

Todays update 2007-07-19 solved the problem with not having a default
Ubuntu start page for new users. I also can restore sessions from last
time when clicking on Restore Session buttons.
The only thing that remains is: if I enable
Edit Preferences Main When Firefox starts Show my windows
Same here on Toshiba Satellite 5200-903 with Geforce FX 5600 Go, running
whatever distro.
I don't know if this bug is the reason why my tv-out/dual-monitor mode is not
working. It does under windowsxp. But thats the only problem I have, everything

I tried going to the BIOS and restoring the Safe Defaults.
Unfortunately, it didn't fix anything. To make matters worse, I tried
reducing the speed of the memory (the latency from 2 to 3) and I got the
same problems as before: an system very hard to use (not so say
unusable).

I wanted to open a file with scite under Ubuntu 7.10.
The open file dialog was open and suddenly I saw I made a mistake in a
folder name.
The dialog was by example in /media/hdb6 and the folder I renamed was

I have the same problem with an external USB2 Iomega hard disk under
feisty. Bulk copying from an NFS share on a different machine causes it
to fail in the same way, especially when copying lots of small files.
My setup is AMD based, quite old, based on an AMI BIOS. Onboard USB is

When used with razor2, spamd creates the file /razor-agent.log.
In the manpage of Mail::SpamAssassin::Plugin::Razor2 I couldn't find any
option to change this location.

Gutsy ships with ipw3945 1.2.1 which fixes some issues with driver not
waking up in some cases. It fixed suspend problems on my laptop.
I'm not sure does this driver ship with later Feisty kernels, but at
least the 2.6.20-13 and previous shipped with 1.2.0. You can override
this manually
I changed computer and, naturally do not have this problem anymore. Thanks
