The solution involves recompiling the module, which stopped working for

I should note that this happens with an external monitor (Dell 2405)

This bug may be relative to the FreeBob librairy, because the sound card
is using firewire. I own a Presonus Firebox and have the same problem. I
am in touch with some ffado devel in order to understand what is the bug
with freebob in Ubuntu. precision : i have the bug with feisty and with
gutsy.
@Noam Meltzer : You have both openoffice-gnome and openoffice-kde
instelled which is known to fix the problem.
I can also confirm that removing openoffice.org-kde made openoffice
start but what's intresting without openoffice.org-kde and openffice
.org-gnome I don't get any errors on console.
