I have a GeForce 8500 GT (10de:0421) with DVI and VGA output

I've run into the same thing as well. A few minutes upon logging in
after a fresh boot, my laptop fans are running at full speed. If I look
at 'top' I see hald-addon-inpu using 100% CPU utilization. I have to

In Hardy I can VT switch and switching to a terminal and back restores the
screen. Here's what happened today:
- Xubuntu Hardy beta live CD
- Insert CD, boot to desktop
- wait several minutes with no mouse activity
- screen goes completely blank

I made no changes to swfdec-gnome as compared to debian experimental
(there was no 2.22.0 available at the time) -- there is a 2.22.0 in
debian unstable now, that is essentially the same so it would make sense
to directly sync that as well.

Well, I have just checked if the bug was still active. I first upgraded
Ubuntu with the latest 'stable' packages, then shutted down (in order to
solve any file-write problem) and powered on.

When quickly navigating the filesystem with the main toolbar, the location bar
