seconds cooling fan goes running madly up at full speed. Only holding

Allthough PRO/Wireless 3945ABG does connect (manual connection). The last few

I have exactly the same problem. I have two NVidia 8800 GTX's, with one

the upgrade works correctly for me using an ati radeon card and vesa,
the hardy version displays the dialog suggesting to reboot, after
installing the upgrade it correctly displays the dialog saying that the
effects have not be enabled

gnome-appearance-properties asks for reboot if you cancel
ffm: No, gnome-www-browser uses the debian alternatives system. It has
nothing to do with gnome.
seb128: There's nothing wrong with using deb specific solutions, you're derived
from Debian.
What's not ideal is that it's system rather than user specific, and not
integrated with gnome.
