Sorry for the additional email, but according to bug #183917 and my own
personal experience, libflashsupport is buggy and causes crashes. The

Un Intrepid Ibex, when you click on the Shut Down button on the Gnome
Panel you are offered four options, Hibernate, Restart, Cancel and Shut
Down. If you click on Shut Down the GUI should log out and then then the
computer should power down.
