sorry, I cannot test some daily image or whatever.
But I updated to 8.10 and now closing and re-opening the display
switches the video output from external to internal and back. the
resolution is not adjusted, but that is easy to work around.

Yes I remember there was only one Chinese font. There are other open
fonts which could be used and that are used in OOo, all with the prefix
AR_PL which are very nice. They are included in 2.6.3 and the new
2.6.4 and they work well. This helps me use both OOo and AbiWord

The obvious first step is to remove it - purge gcursors from your
system. It's not included with Intrepid.
The best update that Intrepid could make is for themes to be installed
to the shared directory. I currently have three bookmarks in my Root
Nautillus bookmarks - the first is

I'm a little concerned that affects compiz might be sending the team
down the wrong path in looking for a solution. My system locks up on me
even after compiz is fully removed.

Changing to 176x144 worked after forcibly closing cheese. Using the

I just did a fresh install of Ubuntu 8.10 on my laptop. I had Ubuntu
8.04 on my laptop before.
Ubuntu 8.04 ran great and I didn't have to do anything to make it boot
but for some reason I have to hold down a key on my keyboard in order to
get Ubuntu 8.10 to boot. It

this problem was solved temporarily in 8.10.
everything was ok with beta live CD, release live CD and Intrepid fresh
installation.
but after downloading some updates, the problem appeared again!!
I can not determine exactly which update causes this problem again.

Now i tried it with a USB cable and the IPOD works fine. Is there a

I tried to swith off the font settings but nothing fixed the problem
with rendering the text in opera, amsn and the lagg in xchat for some
examples, only in open office. The cube effect etc works smooth its just
the text rendering.

For me changing layouts and keyboard options was working mostly fine
since hardy, although I could reproduce this bug once, probably just
some glitch. Currently cannot reproduce with intrepid.
