The clock doesn't show weather info for me either, even though the

The same happens in KDE 4 in Intrepid. The multimedia keys on my Dell
XPS M1530 used to work in Hardy, but now they only work when Amarok is
focused (ie open), running KDE 4.1. The normal keyboard combinations
work without any problems.

Everything has been said, but I too have been having this problem. Can't
seem to see what causes it at all, for me both the keyboard and menus
will stop working. Anyway, thought I'd attached the requested files and
hope they help.
I've attached my xorg.conf, my dmesg.log and Xorg.0.log in the

I tried installing WICD but it did not fix the issue, and in fact broke
all networking, so I went back to the gnome network manager. Still
cannot connect to hidden networks tho, which is frustrating because at

I assume that now Orca has a menu item that Onboard can too? I need to
hear from one of the Ubuntu devs about this before I commit Francesco's
patch because every time I add a menu item for Onboard it gets patched
out.

Oh, I found the solution (which is probably also what I used on the old
installation). Using gconf-editor, you can edit the key
/apps/panel/applets/clock_screen0/prefs/cities. The 'code=' field of
it was set to '(null)'. After changing that part to 'EHVB', the clock
applet now shows both the

Hi,
right-click on the network-manager-applet in the panel Edit
connections wireless tab. Double-click on your connection. There is an
option called Connect automatically, is it checked?

To be more descriptive when this happens i can still click, for example
i can select the menus (Applications, Places, System) and it will
highlight when I do so but the menu will not drop down. I can also use
the mouse to select different windows, but no where will typing on the
keyboard work

Slightly different symptom here. I have Intrepid, firefox 3.0.3, Ubufox
0.6 and TMP 0.3.7pre080920. I was seeing the default set of buttons in
every firefox window beyond the first (but the first one showed my
customizations, even after restarting firefox). I disabled Ubufox and my
problem

This is using all defaults from a fresh install, no driver/setting changes
applied, and no restricted drivers in use as I was running Intrepid in
VirtualBox. Can't tell you the quality, but it's whatever the default is.
