This issue is still a problem in Intrepid as well. UUIDs can be useful
in some cases but this is a major problem when using mdadm which seems
to handle them based on the mount points rather than UUID.
In my case this is a problem almost every time I boot. (sometimes I get

Yes you are right, but built in linux (asus express gate) works fine.
Also I'm not sure if it uses acpi or not. Windows XP also works fine on
it, except video drivers. May be it is possible to debug (asus express
gate). Solution with acpi off works fine, but I'm not sure that it's
good for laptop.

Hi,
I am getting exactly the same. This happened when I used pppoeconf to
setup Internet connection to my PC using DSL modem. Before that, every
thing was OK.

happens to everyone who starts using k9copy for the first time: the
program says DVD is not opened and we start to wander what happens.
