I've been seeing this same problem.
I have two arrays one raid0 other raid5 both with xfs on them. If I
copy 10GB files between the two theres a 50% chance it'll pause and end
with cpu soft lockup messages.

I haven't upgraded to 8.10 yet. I'll be upgrading to the next lts
package when it comes. The bug is with the evolution integration plugin.
After disabling that Piding worked fine again.
Now there's a new bug...after the release of the new MSN, MSN usually
only works on XP and won't log me in

The current version in Jaunty is really old, in view of the progress
that have been made upstream the last months. The packaging is done (see
https://launchpad.net/~elisa-developers/+archive), it just needs the
official stamp on it. Personally I am using the PPA builds and have
much less problems

I have tested al Samsung S3 (YP-53) on latest ubuntu but it did not
work. Not on my computer. If anybody would need some hard data to patch
I can go back and try to extract that info.

Jumping in as this problem affects my programming efforts also.
I belive the core of the problem is, that the session-id is not a
mandatory part with mt-daapd, but rhythmbox fails to use an URI that
does not contain it.
