X server resident memory usage went back up to 500MB and stayed that way even
after I killed all GUI programs except the terminal and panel applets. Logged

So far, I have replaced to ubuntu 9.04 x86_32 with virtualbox (2.2.2) 32bit
from 7.10.
Also, I have replaced to Gnome from KDE as the default Window Management of
OS already too.

Dont think this is fixed properly:
I am still having this problem on 9.04 for upgraded and new

On my upgraded amd64 I have libpam-smbpass installed and it is the
lastest version.
On my new install 32bit laptop I dont have libpam-smbpass installed and

First setup with pppoeconf is running ok, but after the updates of Ubuntu 9.04,
pppoeconf suddenly failed and stopped and it's impossible for newbies to restart
the Internet access.
Please fix that problem really

Added Option FBTexPercent 0 to my xorg.conf.
Maybe it is slightly faster than XAA!? Not sure yet!

Dragging the panel with the Alt key works for me in Jaunty, so it sounds
like you're experiencing a separate bug.

It turns out the problem I was having was because of a custom version of
python-support I had installed, so it's not the same as this bug. Tom,
since it works ok for you now, I think the bug should be invalidated,
no?

I can replicate with a small (1.3 MiB) f4v file in Jaunty, either by
right clicking and selecting properties, or by enabling the properties
pane (F11) and hovering over it. However, a blank mp4 file (created via
new file-text file) did not cause the problem, and neither did a
downloaded avi file

When installing a brand new Ubuntu server 9.04 jaunty with the amd64 server CD,
it fails after the software package selection.
Switching to the Alt-F4 console, it says that the usbutils package from the CD
is corrupted (hash sum mimsmatch).
The crash report is written to /var/crash/executable_path.uid.crash,
so you can upload that manually.

I'm running Kubuntu 9.04 with all updates avaluable from official
repositories and this bug still exists. The situation even become worth
with upgrade from 8.10 to 9.04 (actually it was not upgrade but
reinstallation since I always wondering
