I can confirm this bug for a Dell Latitude D620 with an GMA 950 Intel
chip. However, on this machine, the trick with Fn-F8 does not work.
Reboot or putting the machine to sleep with Fn-Esc and then power it up,
fires up the screen again.

I have now discovered that the sound occurs only when an external audio
device is connected with audio out cable and only when no file is being
played. the moment i stop playing the file it begins again and then goes off

Hello, thanks for the replies.
The thing is, my touchpad hotkey works fine all i had to do was turn on the
shmconfig using the hal .fdi files(this is the not very secure method, the
other method just doesn't work). I tried to configure all my hotkeys through
hal .fdi files but no luck there,
I am using Ubuntu 9.10 and find that the mouse stops working after the
system has been operating a short time. Happens no matter what software
package (Firefox, Evolution, Open Office, etc.) I am using. I can still
use the keyboard shortcuts (when I can find them!), and if I shut the
system down

Problem seems to be mostly gone with PULSE_NO_SIMD set. But I still

Ah I didn't know that. But at least, the PulseAudio output could be
added (MPD accept multiple configured outputs), and then user just chose
the appropriate audio output (or we could even detect at install time
that pulseaudio is the used audio backend in order to enable it for
MPD).

I've just done a fresh install with network-manager-openvpn on a laptop.
Adding my keys to create a new connection fails with the Need Secrets message
immediately after installation.

I have altered /etc/default/pulseaudio
pulseaudio now does *not* start system-wide. I've removed
/etc/asound.conf and ~/.asoundrc*
I rebooted.

Ok, sorry for my bad english.
1. I create a sftp connection with ubuntu-server-host via nautilus.
2. I see a remote location mounted on Desktop
3. I CUT some files or folders from LOCAL machine and PUT it to remote folder
4. I seen the progress bar
5. When transfer is finish I can't see my files

This bug affects me. Suspend/resume whorks in Intrepid, neither Jaunty
or Karmic successfully resume (they do suspend though). Always get a
blank screen. Hibernate works.
Dell Studio 1535 with ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3450.
