libnss-ldapd should be moved from universe to main in favour of libnss-
ldap.

Correction and apology. It turns out the jack output is working, it's
just that the internal speakers never shut off. I thought the external
speakers were not working because they were turned down low relative to
the internal speakers.
This means I don't have the unique issue I thought I did,
Investigating further, the problem may be a regression in Xorg's
hotplugging. It appears that when the printer is plugged in, two device
nodes in /dev/bus/usb/number/ are created. Also, lsusb reports two new
devices when the printer is plugged in. Not sure if this is the right
behavior or not.
