Manny,
When I don't want people taking over the packages I uploaded last I
specifically add comments on MoM. So in this case it is not an issue at
all. There are fewer contributors working on java packages than
C/C++/Python etc. So I am always happy if other contributors work on
these packages.
OK, sorry for misunderstanding. I added a Karmic nomination, I hope it's
what should be done at the moment...

I'm running OpenOffice 3.1.1. on Ubuntu 9.10 and am getting the same
problem. Open Office crashes on load of ppt files. I'm getting this with
quite a lot of different ppt files. Attached is a very simple file which
crashes Open Office on load. The PPT is mine and is not private.

the 2.6.32 kernel from http://kernel.ubuntu.com/~kernel-ppa/mainline/ that I
have run from jaunty without any trouble.
I wanted to see if I could trigger the bug when karmic wasn't involved in the
creation or
bug 397583 was filed against karmic, so it seems this is still an issue.
FWIW, I don't see this problem. Can those affected please report if a
virgin account (one that has never been used before) shows the same
symptoms?

Some __init__.py files are indeed missing in package
(django/views/__init__.py or django/views/decoratos/__init__.py) but
they are present in /usr/lib/pymodules/python2.6/django/ so there is no
problem with importing django modules. They are probably created in the
installation process... In my
Never mind my comment, stumbled upon disabling splash in
/var/lib/tftpboot/ltsp/i386/pxelinux.cfg/default and found that fixed
it. Looks like something buggy with my hardware.
