More information:- This all started last night when I saw a warning
triangle in the top panel. I clicked on it, this caused update manager
to run - this was not an automatic update notification as I originally
described. I think the update manager then gave a long list of (greyed
out)

All,
I've verified that the upstream patch, on top of the patch we've
provided, is both functional and does not exhibit the memory leak
problem; the test was to run the CC/NC against patched rampart/c for
approximately 18 hours, watching the memory footprint of the associated
apache2 processes.

The issue here is that Win7 now requires a secured connection (think
ssh) to get to the smb share (password protected or not). Comment #19

I am having the same problem on Karmic (Mythbuntu 9.10 more exactly).
The version numbers are slightly different but the issue is the same
(the SMBFS package wants a Samba common 2:3.4.0-3ubuntu5 whilst a

I only use the standard main, universe and multiverse.

aptitude update and sudo aptitude safe-upgrade and now gdm desktop won't
display. I'm starting a re-install. I've been running earlier lucid
right along, and it's dual booted with karmic which works.

Would it be possible for mountall to detect (from the return code or
output of mount) that it's dealing with a hibernated Windows partition
and just ignore it till the next boot?
More generally (and perhaps more easily implemented), it would be nice
to have a way to proactively tell mountall that
I have the same problem, my wireless card worked perfect in 9.04 but now
I disconnect frequently ( I think because i'm a little bit far away from
the AP ) and cannot reconnect. If i restart the computer I can connect
instantly, I will have to try just restarting NM next time

I know for sure that whenever I activate the nonfree nvidia driver and
try to suspend to ram, the system hangs up and dont come up again. hope
the bug report can help to fix the error. I like to write to nvidia too,
if you mean that helps.

The linux-generic (linux-meta) package has updated twice since the
linux-rt 2.6.31.9.10 was released. I'd expect linux-rt to receive all
the same fixes as linux-generic. This does not seem to be the case right
now. I think that this should be fixed and the linux-rt package

Sorry, seems I was too fast. Today KPackageKit died when it should do
two minor upgrades. I did an apt-get update/upgrade right after I
received the notification in KDE, before starting KPackageKit itself.

I had not zeroed my drive prior to installing Fedora 12 so I attempted to
follow Andrew's suggestion (#91). Unfortunately every time I try dd
if=/dev/zero of=/dev/sda (which is definitely my 32GB SSD) I get the following
error:

As I said, subdomain_parser is part of AppArmor. I'll take a look at the

I also had similar problems.
Once I was unable to login to my profile at all. After going through the
login screen my X stuck with just a background and mouse. Had to delete
.gconf to have it fixed (after some Google-ing with the errors I got in
the logs).
Later Ubuntu started crashing when I
